Hi everyone,

when you click a point on the map, information about the FIS frequency and the airspaces appears. Would it be possible to show the terrain elevation at that point as an additional piece of information? This would both be generally helpful for the selected overflight altitude at that point, and because some airspaces or NOTAMs require a minimum height above ground (AGL) for overflight rather than an altitude above mean sea level (AMSL). With that info it would be easier to choose a suitable and correct overflight altitude.

Thanks in advance and best regards

Stefan

Hi Stefan,

thanks again for your feedback! 👍

Terrain elevation for any given point is already on the to-do list:

> Hello, thanks for the great support and the forum, and for all the effort in picking up ideas and suggestions here! I have one suggestion that might be easy to implement: When I double-click/touch a point x on the map, the airspaces and the coordinates (waypoint) are shown in the box below. Would it be possible to also display the elevation at that point in ft? I would find this useful for route planning, because the MEF isn’t always meaningful, especially at the edge of mountain ranges. Than…

Pilot’s regards

Cool… thanks for the quick reply. I’ll wait to see which release the feature will be in 😉

…and that could definitely be combined/displayed with the position in the airspace cross-section.🙂
