Hello Olliver,
have you read this: Anflugkarten werden nicht dargestellt - #6 by KBfly
…have you already looked at it?
Blue skies,
Karsten
Hello Karl
Many thanks for your prompt answer but I don’t read german language.
Anyway I suppose you Ask me if the button cart is on , it is on “on”.
When I push on the airport no VAC is provided.
I don’tfind the reason.
Do you have the solution to use the VAC cartes on VFRnav. In advance many thanks for your support

Hello Olliver,
Question: You want to install charts from the German AIP? → since you wrote that you don’t read German?
You want to install maps from German AIP?
For AIP charts from other countries you currently have to georeference them yourself for integration into VFRnav… and then install them.

You can also switch the text here to English to read my instructions on that.

Hello,
I’m following up on this topic.
In France we have VAC charts and GEOVAC charts.
The GEOVAC chart is the one that can be integrated into VFRnav to display as an overlay on the main map. So you need to have an account and perform the scan procedure described above. However, each pilot must do it for themselves, if I understand correctly?
The VAC chart is the one that contains all the aerodrome data, such as opening hours, information on taxiways (TW), runways (RW), AFIS, parking (Pkg), fuel, services, etc. It’s a chart that you open like a PDF to read and which will not be overlaid on the main map as an image.
Some French software works as follows:
When you click on the aerodrome (AD), a pop-up is displayed. You can choose to display the GEOVAC chart manually or automatically (in VFRnav this will be automatic with “on”), and/or you can choose to open the VAC chart to view it outside the navigation software, as an attached document.
I think Ollivier was referring to these two types of charts.
So we need to separate two topics:
1 GEOVAC charts: does each pilot have to enter them themselves or can they be integrated for all pilots on the map in VFRnav? In any case it is available individually at the moment.
2 VAC charts, which would be offered as an attached document (attached file) when clicking on an aerodrome icon.
This would therefore be an enhancement to the application.
VAC charts are free in France. It seems that GEOVAC charts are also free.
This is probably a complex job, but I remain available if I can help.
See you, Daniel.
Hello Daniel,
I can only reply in more detail next week.
But check out this video from Hermann.
Aviator greetings, Karsten
Everything is clear, thanks for the video!
This is perfect for our GEOVAC charts, which represent a single image. We could also extract the graphical part of a VAC (Visual Approach Chart) that doesn’t have an associated GEOVAC. Only the large aerodromes have Geovac charts.
Regarding a pure VAC (Visual Approach Chart), with several pages of text, we’d need to have an external folder or include a link in the Info tab that would open an external file. This would also be useful for UL (ultralight)-type charts that have photos and texts, nothing that would be useful to display on a chart.
Hermann has probably already considered that.
But basically, if we already have the ability to put the GEOVAC on the chart that’s the main thing. Besides, it’s not difficult to have a VAC or UL (ultralight) chart file on another tablet or via screen sharing.
So both cases therefore already have a solution.
One last question: if we do a georeferenced scan (Georef), can other pilots access it automatically, or is it individual?
Safe flights.
