VFRnav 4.27
VFRnav 4.27 brings back the radar display on smaller devices and includes major performance improvements across the app.
What’s New
- New: The radar display is back on smaller devices.
We found an optimal place for it, and it now appears automatically when traffic approaches — just like in the tablet layout. - Improved: Better highlighting of selected airspaces.
Selected airspaces are now shown with an animation to make them easier to distinguish from surrounding airspaces.

- New: Support for additional airspace classes, including HTZ/HPZ.
Technical Improvements
- The highlighting of high terrain has been completely redesigned and is now performant even on less powerful devices.
- Performance optimizations in several areas, including:
- Waypoint sheet
- Flight planning, including route, weather, NOTAMs, and calculations
- Checklists
- Route and flight information widgets
- Vertical airspace profile
- Map display
- Improved handling of serial connections to external devices.
Fixes
- Fix: When selecting coordinates for a user waypoint, the map marker was missing when reopening the selection screen.
As always, if you encounter any issues or have suggestions for improvement, we’d love to hear from you — either by email or here in the forum.
