AIP approach charts in CTRs

Good morning,

The ability to embed the official approach charts from the AIP is basically great, but I don’t use it often because the traffic circuits are already stored anyway. Unfortunately, where I actually need the approach charts — namely in CTRs (control zones) — this doesn’t work. Concrete example: EDDL. Here there are VFR holding patterns that are unfortunately missing from the standard map. Embedding the AIP approach charts also isn’t possible here, because that can only be done on the first page of the link to the AIP VFR. In CTRs, however, the chart in the AIP is usually not on the first page. So I could only embed text here.

Is there any way to solve this so that, in principle, every AIP page can be added? Alternatively, it would be sufficient for me if the holding patterns were displayed in the normal map view.

Many thanks and best regards

Martin

P.S. Also, great work on all the recent development!!

Hi Martin,

Thanks for your detailed description.

I would also welcome georeferencing and the integration of additional charts such as the Ground Chart :folded_hands:.

I think that’s on the to-do list.

I have, as an interim solution, made do so far with the georeferencing tool https://flugbetrieb.com/georef/v3/

…or other tools.

It’s some work and not click-and-go, but it works. Here’s an example for LEJ

Hello Martin,

thank you very much for your post here in the forum.

In this case, the chart has been assigned incorrectly for, among others, EDDL.

Thanks for the hint — this will be fixed later today :+1:

Happy flying

In this context: The Georeftool seems to be acting up. I keep getting this error message, whether with JPGs or PDFs.

Sorted!

It had just coincided with maintenance on the system. It should be working again now.
