Currently only one time and duration — either flight time or block time — is shown in the flight details view. If you want to see both, you currently have to switch the entry to “edit”. It would be great if, in the flight details view, both times and durations, both block time and flight time, were visible on two separate lines.
Hello everyone,
I personally don’t think that’s necessary.
For the logbook, airtime isn’t relevant and merely results from the automatic flight recording.
Hello Martin,
I’m still missing the idea of where pure airtime is really interesting (apart from writing the aircraft logbook).
Maybe you could outline your requirements and practical relevance in more detail.

Hello,
first: it is actually only about the display of the flight time (from-to, total) in the flight detail view, not about summaries, statistics, etc. in the logbook, since there - as has been correctly pointed out several times - flight time is not relevant.
Why:
1.Practical perspective: I have to enter the flight time in the on-board logbook and it would be practical to see the calculated flight time directly in VFRNav (instead of having to calculate it in my head). I know, one could also call it “laziness” ![]()
2.In principle: the data are entered and stored in VFRNav and having them accessible only via the edit function (and the Excel export) seems to me a disadvantage.
I admit, however, that this request does not have very high priority.
Best regards
Martin
Hello
May I ask a quick question? Where do the block times in the recording come from? In the flight time recording, are takeoff and landing recorded…? I always calculate my block time afterwards by adding a few minutes before and after.
Best regards
Sven
Exactly like that ![]()
But you can skip adding those up. VFRnav does that for you!
After a flight, go to the logbook, select the flight and edit it (pencil bottom right). There you see the automatic takeoff and landing times. Above them are the empty fields for Block-Off and Block-On. Fill those out accordingly. If the block times are present, they will be used for the logbook times for the overall calculation.
Perfect for me!
