Feature Request: PIB layout optimized for kneeboard

Change PIB layout to allow printout of the PIB to fit on a knee-board: Ideally as landscape two pages next to each other to fold in the middle and result in an A5 page size. Also increase the font size a bit and reduce white-space on PIB to improve readability in cockpit.

Hi Martin,

Thank you for the suggestion! Over the past weeks, I have tried several approaches to adjust the PIB layout accordingly, but unfortunately none of the results were truly satisfactory. From a technical perspective, implementing this is more challenging than I initially thought.

One alternative could be to render the document directly in A5 format and then use the “pages per sheet” option in the print settings to place two pages side by side. However, this still requires further testing to ensure it works well in practice. I will continue to explore this option.

Best regards
Hermann

Thank you for the fast response! I will try to install an Android printer driver that allows for landscape/2-page-per-page print layout as a workaround.

Cheers

Workaround: Selection of A4 landscape format prints in a format that can be folded to A5 to fit on a kneeboard. However, I did not manage to create a 2-page per sheet output.

Hi Martin,

I experimented with the layout again last week and might have found a solution that doesn’t require a complete

Hi Hermann,

Thanks, that’s

Sorry, I expressed myself badly :see_no_evil_monkey:

This isn’t official yet and is still in testing.

But if there are no objections, I’d include it in the next update.

No objections, thank you!

Sorry, I overlooked that: the summary row seems to be missing? Total flight time, total fuel..

Yep, they’re still missing in the example :+1:

Otherwise, the change will come at the end of October in the next major update.

Brilliant! Many thanks for the new feature!!

I have to thank you for your suggestion for improvement
