Feature request - manual checklist

Just watched a video from Aviation101 where he works through his checklist in ForeFlight.

That would be a nice addition.

Added as an extra menu item on the left so you have quick access.

You could then store the checklist per aircraft in the aircraft settings. Maybe also with the option to split the checklist into different sections (Before Engine Start, After Engine Start, etc.) and to step through it with a button so you can simply go through it.

Good morning,

The checklist feature is already finished. :+1:

It will depend on the aircraft.

Luftfahrzeug Checkliste

For users with multiple devices, adjustments to synchronisation were still necessary over the past few weeks. Therefore we have not activated this feature yet.

I expect it to be available in January.

Hi,

I’m having trouble adding comments to the checklist. I created the UTF-8 file following the instructions and tried to add a comment using ; or # as shown, but it doesn’t appear. In the app itself I can’t find any option to add a comment manually.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Hello Michi,

the comments are, IMHO, meant for making additional notes in the checklist file’s “source text”. These are only for the file and only visible when you open it with a text editor. They are not displayed in VFRnav itself.

You can also create and edit the checklist directly in the aircraft profile.

I think the manual also says something about this, but otherwise it’s self-explanatory.

I hope that helps.

Good morning Michi and a warm welcome to the forum :waving_hand:

@molta has already explained it well: the comments in the VFRnav checklist file are only for your own documentation and to structure the file’s contents.

They do not affect how VFRnav displays the checklist and therefore are not included by the app as visible checklist content.

If you have any further questions about this, feel free to ask them here in the forum.
