The adjustable radius you can set.
Could you reprogram it so that it shows the approximate glide distance in the event of an engine failure?
I imagine it could work like this: you store information for each aircraft about how far it can glide per 1000 ft.
The altitude is roughly known and the circle could scale accordingly.
Number 2: (a nice gimmick that could be community-driven, absolutely not a must, just an idea)
Add sightseeing spots to the map that can be saved.
These could be hidden by default and shown on demand.
