Quick question:
In flight planning, can two columns for the alternate airport be added so that they are included in the NOTAMs?

Hello Daniel,
Do you mean in the section → Flight Planning → NOTAM?
Or additionally the section → Flight Planning → Route …and here an additional Alternate Airport?
The NOTAMs are actually drawn along the planned route within a 50 NM area. Isn’t that area sufficient for you?
Or do you mean an Alternate specified in the flight plan (the DfS (DfS), for example)? (no, I don’t read it that way)

Hi Karsten,
When I do my flight planning, I like to include two alternate airports.
I’m missing the option here to have the NOTAMs for these included as well.
As an example, here is my current plan via Laage and back.
Purkhofs and Güstrow are interesting as alternatives in case something comes up.
They are not included, despite the 50 nm radius.
I’ve attached the document showing how it currently looks.
I notice: naming waypoints would be cool, but that’s already on the list, if I remember correctly ![]()
Best regards Daniel

Hello Daniel,
Yes, I understand. Then alternates in the flight planning (Routing) would have to be included as optional alternates. (can also be left empty). For the worst case there’s already → nearest airfield. Should the retrieval of the planned alternate be added as well?
…do you mean it like that?
Mostly! …they only issue NOTAMs for CTRs or AFIS airfields (like Barth) anyway.
O.K. …let’s see what Hermann says about it after his vacation.
Pilot greetings,
Karsten
We need to see how to implement it.
I pictured it so that in the route overview you press the plus and have the option to add alternates there.
Alternatively, shortly before creating the report, you could have the option to add a few slots there.
Depending on what’s feasible and whether it’s technically possible.
That way, if you enter it, you find out that the threshold at Güstrow is displaced. In the current case, you only find out if you manually check the Preflight Bulletin again.
Best regards, Daniel
…I’ve roughly recreated your route.
A NOTAM circle appears around Güstrow on my side. When I tap it to read the NOTAM, I find out that the runway threshold is displaced. ….Without me defining an alternate???![]()
Is that not the case for you?
Pilot greetings, Karsten
It is displayed manually on the map.
And you can view the NOTAM.
It’s only missing in the flight preparation.
That is, in the PDF.
Perhaps an idea for that:
A section in the PIB ‘NOTAMs along the route’.
The waypoints are included, but, for example, no NOTAMs are displayed there.
Best regards, Daniel
