[Release] VFRnav 4.13

VFRnav 4.13 adds several useful new features, customization options, and important improvements based on your feedback.

:sparkles: What’s New?

  • New: North-Up Offset: In North-Up map mode, you can now enable an offset that shifts the aircraft icon similar to Track-Up mode — giving you a better forward view of your flight path. This option can be activated in the map settings.
We’re open to discussion whether this feature should be enabled by default in future versions — feel free to share your opinion!

  • New: Terrain Awareness (Beta): Terrain that extends above your current altitude is now highlighted in red. The feature can be activated via the map layer button in the upper right corner of the map.

  • New: Display of aerobatic activity areas on the map

  • New: Added a default button in the aircraft icon settings to quickly reset customizations

  • New: Added link to the Flugbetrieb Shop

:hammer_and_wrench: Fixes & Improvements

  • Fix: Display of external airspaces in OpenAir format corrected
  • Fix: Minor bug fixes and stability improvements

:speech_balloon: Share Your Feedback!

Especially for the new terrain feature, we’re looking forward to hearing about your experience — feel free to post your feedback directly here in the forum.

For us northern Germans, testing this feature is a challenge — no mountains, just lots of flat land

Safe flights and happy navigating! :airplane:
