VFRnav Update – Version 4.15.0 Released!
VFRnav 4.15.0 introduces exciting new capabilities, along with important fixes and enhancements for better device compatibility.
AHRS Support
- New: AHRS Support (Attitude & Heading Reference System)
When connected to a sensor source providing AHRS data (e.g. Stratux), VFRnav can now display an artificial horizon directly in the app.
This brings improved situational awareness — especially when paired with portable devices such as Stratux or other AHRS-enabled systems.
Fixes & Improvements
- Fix: Corrected faulty NMEA sentence output for autopilot steering
- New: Aircraft callsign/identifier is now displayed for Mode-S traffic
- New: When connected to Stratux, the settings now include a direct link to the Stratux web interface
- New: Option in VFRnav settings to force the use of internal GPS. Normally, VFRnav decides automatically between an external position source and the device’s internal GPS.
- Improved: Better compatibility and performance with newer devices
