Safety altitudes on the map

Hey,

First of all, thank you very much for the great work on the app – I use VFRnav regularly and think the implementation is really excellent.

A feature request that would help me when flying and planning:

Would it be possible to display the Maximum Elevation Figures (MEF) in the grid squares on the map?

The MEFs indicate the highest terrain elevation or highest obstacle within a map quadrangle (including safety margin) and are very useful for quickly estimating the minimum required altitude for safe terrain clearance at a glance. Especially when planning a route in unfamiliar terrain, this could further improve situational awareness.

Perhaps this could be a worthwhile addition for a future update.

The maximum elevation figures are already on our to-do list.

I can’t say when we’ll be able to implement this, but it will definitely be coming.

Let me know if you have any further ideas & suggestions. I’m always happy to hear suggestions for improvements
