Voice warning for airspaces – MEGA!

Hi,
I downloaded yesterday’s update and flew for the first time with the new version of VFRnav today… and what can I say: the voice warning for airspace is absolutely awesome!!

I was just about to enter Class D Bremen and bam – “Airspace ahead” came through my headset :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: I honestly would have totally missed it because I was busy with something else.

So big props to the developers, it’s just so useful! I initially thought it was another gimmick you’d switch off, but this thing is staying on! :+1:

AMAZING FEATURE! Thanks!! :clap::clap::clap:

That’s yet another feature that completely passed me by. Is it output to you via the radio device? How?
Or did you pair it with your phone via Bluetooth?

Yes, that’s exactly how it was for me too – I only read about it in the release notes and then tried it out on the next flight

The voice output comes straight from your phone – I paired my headset to my smartphone via Bluetooth (which usually works with newer headsets). As soon as you approach an airspace, you automatically get an announcement like “Airspace ahead”.

It worked brilliantly for me with the Bose A20 via Bluetooth. But it should work with any Bluetooth headset.

Hello,
just like that :ok_hand:
I paired my Lightspeed Delta Zulu with my phone during the flight and received the warning output that way.

As always:
If you have any ideas for improving the warning, feel free to share them

…and if you don’t have a Bluetooth headset , then via an audio cable from the tablet to the intercom. …should work too, right? I like my David Clarc headsets, but they don’t have Bluetooth.

L.G. simply fly

Good evening,

I just wanted to drop a quick note to say that I’ve now been able to use this feature several times in flight and I’ve really come to love it. The audible alert works great!
