About VFRnav Flight Navigation

VFRnav is a modern navigation app for general aviation pilots with a focus on visual flight (VFR).
It supports flight preparation, route planning and navigation during flight. The emphasis is on a clear, practice-oriented display – optimised for cockpit use.

The app is continuously developed and tested by pilots in active flight operations. It offers both recreational pilots and flight schools a simple yet powerful solution for electronic navigation.

Goals and Principles

  • Clarity: All essential information is available at a glance – without overloaded menus.
  • Reliability: Offline maps, robust GPS processing and clear alerts ensure maximum operational safety.
  • Efficiency: Routes can be created, analysed and flown with just a few steps.
  • Compatibility: Support for ADS-B, FLARM, GPS receivers, simulators and Bluetooth adapters.

Development Philosophy

VFRnav is developed from practical experience for practical use. Many features arise directly from feedback by active pilots. The aim is to provide a tool that is intuitive to use in the cockpit and reduces the pilot’s workload – without replacing the pilot’s decision-making process.

Note: VFRnav is a supplementary navigation aid. The pilot remains responsible in all circumstances for compliance with aviation regulations and the safe conduct of the flight.
